Representing not ourselves, but the Ruach haKodesh (Set-Apart Spirit) by whom we are assisted and empowered, and the global body of Nazarene Yisrael, or Messianic believers in Yahshua the Messiah, we have been fourteen years partaking in this aspect of service, and the JoyInTheWorld.info website is now in its eighth year online. Yahweh's work has grown and matured much within this span of time, and yet it has been a stairway which we have had to climb.
Our History Updated 2-2008
We first began our walk in Christianity, where we found numerous doctrines which conflicted with the inspired Word, and it was in these years of testing and searching that Yahweh directed our steps towards conservative circles, where our vision for an upright family and home was nourished. At this point, Yahweh (we still knew Him as "G-d" at this point in time) began to open our eyes and ears to the 7th day Sabbath, and shortly afterwards we began to observe the annual feasts and kashrut or health laws for food. Partaking of fellowship with numerous organizations, including home fellowships, we traveled the roads of Sabbatarianism, and the Messianic movement, and in the latter, we were first introduced to the abbreviated name of the Son, Y'shua.
Six years ago we began to realize the truth of using Yahweh and Yahshua's Name through association with friends and observance of Sukkot 2001 within what is known as the "Sacred Name Movement". Several more years have passed, years wherein many SN assemblies have become overrun with divided familes and things which are not fit to name, while at the same time, the Messianic community is undergoing a massive insurgence of counter-missionaries, whereby the sheep are falling prey to the adversary and his lies, and we have found ourselves and other true talmidim (taught ones) left in the middle of it all. Notwithstanding, it has provided a means whereby we have become increasingly aware of the Hebraic roots of our belief, the pagan origins of "Christian doctrine", the dire need of restoration between Israel's divided houses, and our true identity amongst the body of Nazarene Yisrael.
It has been said that searching for truth is much more productive than searching for the true assembly, and throughout our travels, we have shared much fellowship and obtained much truth, but also had to discern much error. Consequently, we have never signed a membership roster, nor fallen prey to the organizational mindset which permeates society, and we have NEVER set our beliefs in stone. We are ever learning, ever growing, and ever meeting other brothers and sisters in the remnant body of the Messiah. It has been twenty-three years since Yahweh first started us on this journey, and by His strength, we will continue on.
