Let’s Look At The Scriptures - Part 1

Have you ever thought about what a great Work the Scriptures really are?  Think of all the men who wrote down what Yahweh told them to! Think of Paul's devotion to writing upbuilding and exhorting letters to various assemblies, David's personal prayers to Yahweh,  Jeremiah's proclamation of Yahweh's prophetic Words,  Matthew,  Mark,  Luke, and John's time in writing of the Life of Yahshua, Yahweh's diligence in giving His children Law and Order, etc. The Scriptures are full of rare and precious Jewels of Wisdom and Life. It is indeed inspired of Yahweh. Now, with this in mind, let's look at some beautiful verses which they contain.

The Torah:

Genesis 8:22 Yahweh's faithfulness
Exodus 20:2.  A spiritual life of liberty
Leviticus 23:27-28.  At-one-ment (at one with Yahweh)
Numbers 6:22-27.  Yahweh's favor to His children
Deuteronomy 6:4-9;6:20-25.  Teaching the next generation about Yahweh

The Nebi’im (Prophets):

Joshua 1:6-9.  Trust in Yahshua and Yahweh. Be courageous.
Judges 2:1 Yahweh's faithfulness
1 Samuel 2:2.  Yahweh's set-apartness and steadfastness
2 Samuel 1:26.  Two friends' great love for each other
1 Kings 8:23-24.  Yahweh's faithfulness and mercy to them that obey Him
2 Kings 19:15.  Yahweh, the great Creator

The Kethubim (Writings):

Psalm 1:5-6.  Condemnation of the wicked "in the judgement" versus "the way ofthe righteous"Proverbs 1:8-10 remaining steadfast in the instruction of truth
Job 1:21.  All credit given to Yahweh
Job 42:7-8.  Job's righteousness versus his acquaintances' foolishness
Canticles (Song of Solomon) 2:1 flowering beauty
Ruth 1:16-17.  Loyalty
Ecclesiastes 12:1;12:13-14 Remember Yahweh and fear Him, in your youth, and always. Esther 8:16-17.  "Light, and gladness, and joy, and honour."
Ezra 3:11.  Praising a merciful Elohim
Nehemiah 1:4-11 beseeching Yahweh to forgive and bless His people
1 Chronicles 16:23-34.  Praise to Yahweh, the mighty Elohim
2 Chronicles 30:18-21.  Yahweh's mercy, and Israel's joy

Well, as you can see, we have only gotten a short ways, but look in the next issue of ROTP for a continuation of this. As I'm sure you are realizing, there is beauty in each individual Book within the Scriptures.  Some Books that I looked at, I thought, I can't find a verse that would be good for this in this Book.   However, I was wrong.  In every Book so far, I have found a good verse for this list of scriptures.
