Rejoice In the Wife of Thy YouthScriptures compiled by C. E. Coover (from K.J.V.)Woman - A BlessingProverbs 5:18 "Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice in the wife of thy youth."Genesis 2:18,21-23 "And Yahweh Elohim said, 'It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.' And Yahweh Elohim caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which Yahweh Elohim had taken from man, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, 'This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man.' "Proverbs 18:22 "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of Yahweh."Woman - Her Many ResponsibilitiesGenesis 18:6 "And Abraham hasted into the tent unto Sarah, and said, 'Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.' "Exodus 35:25-26 "And all the women that were wise hearted did spin with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, both of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine linen. And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats' hair."1 Samuel 2:19 "Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice."Acts 9:39 "Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them."Ruth 2:8 "Then said Boaz unto Ruth, 'Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens"Genesis 24:11,13,14,19,20 "And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water. 'Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water: and let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that Thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and hereby shall I know that Thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.' And when she had done giving him drink, she said, 'I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.' And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels."Exodus 2:16 "Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled troughs to water their father's flock."Woman - Virtuous and HonourableRuth 3:11 "And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman."Proverbs 31:10-30 "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar. She riseth while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindnesss. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth Yahweh, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates."Love and Honour In the FamilyEphesians 5:25,28-33 "Husbands, love your wives, even as Messiah loved the church, and gave Himself for it; So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hateth his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as Yahshua the church: for we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. FOR THIS CAUSE SHALL A MAN LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER, AND SHALL BE JOINED UNTO HIS WIFE, AND THEY TWO SHALL BE ONE FLESH. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Messiah and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband."Deuteronomy 31:11-12 "When all Israel is come to appear before Yahweh thy Elohim in the place which He shall choose, thou shalt read this Law before all Israel in their hearing. Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear Yahweh your Elohim, and observe to do all the words of this Law"1 Peter 3:7 "Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered." |
